The Opening Ceremony of the EEPES 2023 Conference will take place on 21 June 2023 in the Oceanis Hotel, located in Kavala, Greece. The ancient and sunny Kavala is a city in northern Greece, the principal seaport of eastern Macedonia, the capital of Kavala regional unit and offers stunning views of the sea as well as numerous cultural treasures. It is situated on the Bay of Kavala, across from the island of Thasos and on the Egnatia motorway, a one-and-a-half-hour drive to Thessaloniki (160 km west). The technical session of the conference will be held at the International Hellenic University, University Campus II, Agios Loukas, 65403, Kavala, Greece.

It is located at the centre of Kavala close to shops, restaurants, bars and other significant sightseeing's of the city. On the eighth floor there is a roof-garden, a bar, a restaurant and a swimming pool (exclusively used only by hotel guests), with panoramic views of the Aegean Sea, the Old Town and the Castle.
